THINGS IN MY HOME - NEW FLOOR TILES

So have finally tiled my hallway floor and bathroom floor, been lusting after these tiles for quite a while, I like them because they have a slight victorian vibe to them but also quite modern with their colour ways... my house is slowly filling up with pattern!. Was very nervous about how they would look and they were not cheap at £9 a tile, but I love them. They are from Topps tiles and are called Henley. More pics of the house will follow.

  1. Even though it isn’t cheap, I think the money you spent was worth it because it came out looking wonderful. And it is good that you chose a different color for each room. That way, your house won’t look too monotonous. Anyway, what are your plans for the other rooms in your house? Tile flooring can also be good for places with high foot-traffic, like the kitchen.

  2. Those tiles look brilliant! My wife and I have been trying to renovate a little Victorian studio flat over the past few months and have had our eyes on these for a while. At first we decided against it because of price, then we decided yesterday to go for it since we only need 2 square meters worth. However, I then started wondering how hard they are to work with, given their size. Did you find it hard to cut them around awkward bits/radiator pipes et cetera? Seeing your pictures has really made me want them again!! Some pictures of our studio can be found here https://materialconditional.wordpress.com/

    Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Hi material condition.. My step-dad did the tiling for me and he found them pretty easy to cut.. I am really happy with them.

  5. That’s money well spent! You were very bold in choosing this pattern, so I salute you for that. Anyone who sees this will be amazed at the modern feel of the traditional Victorian design. Anyway, I would love to see parts of your home that also have these wonderful tiles.

  7. Your floor is indeed very artsy! it is good that you dared to go the unconventional route. Usually, homeowners will go for a conservative tile. It can be plain colored and mono chromatic.
